Have questions about remote sessions?

Hopefully you’ll find the answer here. If not, feel free to shoot me a message via the contact page.

  • …the first question on your mind, right?

In the interest of fairness for both customers and myself, I don’t have set prices per track/song. Each project and session is different and your quote will be given according to your brief. Simply send an enquiry via the contact page and I will get back to you within 24hrs.

  • No. You only pay after you have heard and approve an mp3 mix of the drums that will I send to you.

  • All payment is done securely through my website - no extra hassle with PayPal or bank transfers!

Once you have approved your tracks I will upload a zip file to a private password protected page on my site containing your audio files, along with any relevant project information and terms and conditions. Simply add it to your cart and pay securely at checkout.

  • This can be as quick as the next day but is very dependent on my availability. You can expect to receive your tracks on the same day that I record.

  • As standard, you will receive the individual 24-bit, 44.1K WAV multitracks from the recording session. Or I can also send you a single stereo file if that is all you need.

The amount of tracks can vary depending on the sound and set up required for the project. For the majority of sessions however, I will close mic each drum (with kick and snare typically having two mics each), with a pair of overheads, room mic and hihat mic which would give you 10 tracks.

In your bundle I will also include any relevant project information and terms and conditions.

    1. Your audio track, without drums. This is what I will play along and record to.

    2. Your audio track with drums (please also send an isolated drums only track if possible) OR, if unavailable, a drum chart for me to read. *

    3. Click track, unless you have exported your full track exactly from the first beat of the project and the time signature and tempo do not change throughout. Please let me know the tempo/bpm if this is case.

    * If you do not have a drum track or sheet music available, you must communicate clearly what you want from the drum part that I record and accept that more artistic license will be handed over to me in this process.

  • I take great care in ensuring I deliver what you want to the very best of my ability. My goal is for you to end up with a product that you are happy with and elevates your music, and is why I include three takes in the recording process as standard. Combined with clear communication and understanding about what you would like for your project, this ultimately should not happen.

If, however, the rare occasion arises that you aren’t happy, we can look at another session at a reduced rate or you have the option of walking away from the process without paying anything.

  • You do not need to pay me royalties personally. However for public and commercial release you must register your work on PRS and PPL and credit me as a performer (and composer/author if necessary).

  • Your project will be 100% fully confidential while we work on it. If I wish to share anything once we have finished, I will always ask for your permission first.
